TransHospital to be spotlighted at AUSA Army Medical Symposium and Exhibition
July 6, 2009
EADS North America’s Integrated Shelter Systems will highlight its TransHospital® Future Combat Support Hospital at this year’s Army Medical Symposium and Exposition, presented by the Association of the United States Army’s (AUSA) Institute of Land Warfare.
The event is being held July 21-24 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas – where activities will be built around the theme: “Army Medicine: Noncommissioned Officer Strong.”
The TransHospital Future Combat Support Hospital is an advanced, highly mobile solution that is being evaluated by the U.S. Army for its Future Medical Shelter System (FMSS) requirement. Based on operationally-proven TransHospital modules – which are deployed in Afghanistan, Kosovo and elsewhere by NATO countries and allied nations – the Future Combat Support Hospital provides a self-contained medical care facility that is transportable by land, air and sea.
TransHospital systems – which are prepared at EADS North America’s Russellville, Arkansas facility – have demonstrated excellent mobility, rapid set-up times and low cost of ownership in conditions ranging from cold temperatures to extreme heat.
The EADS exhibit stand featuring TransHospital can be found at Booth #216.
